Donn Pardee > OH my God! The truck is destroyed! Wait a minute...

Donn Pardee > OK, so there is damage. Note the words "Tow Beast" under the truck. That is the class 5 towhitch I added last year. It replaced the factory hitch which weighed 34 lbs and reaches about 18 inches back under the truck. The Tow Beast weighs 125 lbs and reaches about 3-1/2 feet back under the truck. Notice that the bumper looks like crumpled cardboard but the Tow Beast doesn't even look scratched.

Donn Pardee > See. The truck bed has been moved up and forward. The fiberglass truck bed cover has spider cracks at this corner. You can't see it but there are a couple of chunks of the tire missing, about 2 inches by 2 inches. The highway patrol said it's drivable, so drive it home but no faster than 50 mph (for about 25miles). Remember, the car that hit me was totally destroyed.

Donn Pardee > The truck bed impacted the crew cab but didn't break the window!

Donn Pardee > There is supposed to be a quater inch gap between the doors, on this side of the truck they now touch. This is not good.
